You step quickly through the hall doorway
and look to the left rather than right. A darkened hallway lies
ahead.. a window adorns the wall at the end of the hall.. Slowly,
you walk towards it.. wondering what lies ahead.. A few pictures hang against the walls on either side, most faded and decaying.. You continue your way, still moving slowly. Suddenly, the floor beneath your feet creaks a dull note. You step back and look to the floor, the wood looks slightly different here.. something is written on the floor. You look closer, and discover that there is indeed something..  Hmm.. what does that mean? Must be a code to something.. You make a mental note to remember this and stand, ready to continue on your way. You walk to the end of the hall and take a quick glance out the window, the cold night staring back at you. You shiver involuntarily and look ahead. The doorway stands open, displaying the room before you. It's looks to be the study. |
