You decide to take your chances with the  ramp, and so.. down you go.. The old wood creaks heavily under your footfalls, threatening to go at any minute. Despite your wary suspicion to turn back, you keep on your way and refuse to be intimidated by this creepy place. The deeper you go, the more frightened you seem to get. The ramp dips slightly and you find yourself having to brace some of the stone in the walls tokeep from stumbling.

The wood beneath you continues to creak loudly, as if no one has walked upon them for many many years... You continue on, cold air swirls all around you and you find yourself rubbing your arms to keep from freezing. But soon, you have to stop to lean against the stone wall just to warm yourself up. The air continues to lower in temperature and you wonder if it's a good idea to keep going. Yes, you'll keep going, just out of curiosity. You move from your spot where you lean against the cold wall and continue on the bleak path to the basement; not knowing what dangers may lie ahead. Your ears pop slightly letting you know that you're even deeper underground than you thought and you realize you've reached the bottom.

Stopping suddenly on the steps, you listen to the air around you and come to find that you hear absolutely nothing.. The deathly silence frightens you somewhat, but nevertheless, you keep moving. The basement has to be close.. it just has to be.. and yes.. you soon see the end of this deadly downward spiral.. in the form of a dimly lit doorway...
